Speaker 1 Hey, everyone. It's Brian from Child and Teen Counseling in Woodland Hills. Child and Teen Counseling is a nonprofit therapy organization which provides therapy at affordable rates with the goal of helping kids, teens, and families live happier lives. And I am joined today here by Adriana Navarro Gonzalez and Dr. Kat Valentine, who are therapist trainees here and who are supervised by Kent Tussant. And we're here today to talk to you about girls who Glow Season Two. Kat, tell me, what is girls who glow? Speaker 2 Well, first of all, you do know that it's not actually a TV show, right? Speaker 1 Yeah, sorry. I forgot about that. Speaker 2 Okay. But what it is is a group for high school girls so they can come together and get some support for the issues that are going on in their lives, as well as supporting each other. And it's also a place where they can explore who they want to be rather than conforming to what other people want them to be. It's going to be taking place every Friday from five to 630, starting on September 10, and it will be $30 per session. Speaker 1 Okay. Yeah, I know there's a ton of pressure on girls, especially teenage girls. Adriana, what are some of the topics that come up in Girls Who Blow? Speaker 3 We talk about a lot of things. We talk about relationships and how to identify red flags and green flags and relationships, as well as assertive communication, conflict resolution, setting boundaries with friends and parents. We talk about body image issues. We cover social justice issues as well. Speaker 1 Really. Speaker 3 We just talk about adolescence and the challenges that comes through this period of time. Speaker 1 Okay, well, there you have it. Girls Who Glow Season Two is not a TV show. It's a group therapy for teenage girls. And it returns September 10, happens every Friday from 05:00 p.m. To 630 and costs $30. If you're interested to find out more information, go to childteam.org and find the Girls Who Blow link.
