GIRLS WHO GLOW
“Being human is not hard because you’re doing it wrong, it’s hard because you’re doing it right.”
- Glennon Doyle
Girls Who Glow is Child & Teen Counseling’s group therapy just for girls in Middle School. It’s is a safe place where girls can feel okay talking about the things they wouldn’t feel comfortable discussing with their parents, or even some of their friends. Believe it or not, lots of girls feel like they have no one they can be honest with about what they’re going through. This can leave a teen feeling isolated and alone.
The benefits of group therapy are many. When teenagers get together and talk about their troubles, they’re more likely to get through them. And they’re likely to do it with the strength and resilience they’ll need for life’s future obstacles.
Growing up is all about so many things. But one of the most important is figuring out who you are. At Girls Who Glow we discuss the messages girls get about who they should be. Then we help them start along the path of deciding who they want to be. At our group, girls don’t have to feel alone going through those explorations. Girls Who Glow is for girls who are looking to build supportive relationships with their peers.
Child & Teen Counseling’s Megan Young and Nicole Jabourian host Girls Who Glow online every Friday from 5-6:30pm starting March 19th. The price is $30/session. Get in touch with them here for more information. To find out more about Megan and Nicole, check out our staff page here.
