Ben Lewis stands before the camera, ready to talk

It’s A Wrap! with Ben Lewis

I think I'm most proud of the clinical work that I've done, the clients that I believe I've helped or at least I've seen, the relationships that I've built with them. So one thing that I've talked a lot with the clinical supervisors here about is just about trusting my gut and my intuition and I've had the interesting experience of doing that. I think it's really helped me be in the room and be present in a way that's more authentic, that's easier for my clients to connect with, which is especially important for working with a wide range of clients of different ages and different backgrounds, that the one thing that cuts through all of those different demographics is just authentically being there. And I think following your intuition is the best way to do that. You're just, you're you. And it's not a bad thing to ask a supervisor for more help with something or to share in your feelings about like how things are going in a vulnerable way in a way that one might think would violate this sort of side of like I want to I want to seem I want to see I want to seem competent you know so CTC had a nice balance of that and that was a learning experience for me the other trainees people that were ahead of me and below me the associates Kent Brian, Bennett, Robin, like it's a whole family here and and it felt really nice to come in and yeah find find my place there find my little niche and I felt appreciated here so I will miss that. On behalf of myself and Challengy Counseling I just want to say thank you Ben. Thank you. Thanks so much for being here sticking it out and I know it's hard and I'm gonna miss you.

Ben Lewis graduates from his Masters program and leaves Child & Teen Counseling this month. He made a great impact during his time here and we’re sad to see him go. In the nearly year and a half he trained at CTC Ben helped change lives and also co-founded the BroOp, our group for guys in High School. Ben shares his hard earned wisdom and reflects on his time at CTC in this short video. Are you a Benhead? If you can’t get enough of this guy check out Ben’s other videos on the blog page of our site.
