ABOUT US
WHAT IS OUR MISSION?
The mission of Child & Teen Counseling is two-fold:
- Provide affordable therapy / mental and emotional health services to children, teens and families in the Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley area.
- Train up-and-coming mental health professionals how to effectively and empathically work with children, teens and families towards healthier relationships with themselves and their loved ones.
WHO DO WE SERVE?
Child & Teen Counseling seeks to provide therapeutic support to children, teenagers and their families. This can range from a five-year-old who is struggling with her parents’ recent divorce, a fourteen-year-old needing stronger coping skills as he tries to overcome a bullying situation, a 21-year-old battling anxiety that interferes with her career goals and to a parent who desperately wants to strengthen his relationship with his kids.
Child & Teen Counseling is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
It is the sister nonprofit to Teen Therapy Center in Woodland Hills.
Happy
Happy is what we all want our kids to be. In fact we want our kids to by Happy all the time. Of course, no one is. However, with proper emotional support, our kids can often be Happy. What makes a kid Happy?

Group therapy is a great way for children and teens to practice socializing in a safe and engaging environment, without needing to rely on electronics and social media!
Services
TRAINING
In addition to providing affordable therapy to families in need in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley area, Child & Teen Counseling is a training center for Marriage and Family Therapist Trainees who are graduate students in our community. We specialize in helping future Marriage and Family Therapists learn how to work with children, teens, and families in a way that encourages open communication and connection between parent and child. Experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists supervise the trainees in order to ensure that treatment is of the highest standard.
Child & Teen Counseling partners with local colleges in order to accept volunteer Marriage and Family Therapist Trainees. If you think your school might benefit from working with us, please feel free to reach out to Applications@ChildTeenCounseling.org
Marriage and Family Therapist Trainees may also apply by sending their resume and application (include link to application or web page with it) to Applications@ChildTeenCounseling.org

I don't care
I Don’t Care is living a lie. I Don’t Care pretends that nothing matters because apathy seems more appealing than the crushing disappointment that will come from trying and failing… failing to do well in school, failing to have good friends, failing to feel accepted by parents, failing to achieve self-respect.
